Idranee and Ho Ching have commented on the issue of state land and made claims that these are past reserves, that sales of state lands do not increase net reserves, that such sales is only a change of one asset to another, and under the Constitution, proceeds of the sale cannot fund fiscal spending.This is misinformation, or disinformation and tatamount to outright lies.

MAS financials 22/23: Currency translation loss was $21.4b due to official foreign reserve holdings, and interest loss of $9b. There is nowhere for central bank to run. They take the market risks of foreign exchange exposures on their official foreign reserves. There are some that believe this means reserves increased massively, which leads to the question why is there a need for raising GST, and a call for more socialised cost to help those in need in these difficult times. But this view is absolutely incorrect.

IN DEFENCE OF MAS S$7.4B LOSSES - CENTRAL BANKS HAVE NOWHERE TO RUN
MAS reported a massive loss of S$7.4b for 2022 on the back of a hit of S$8.7b on asset revaluation which is pretty much in line with expectations in view of huge foreign reserves and an appreciating SGD. All central banks with bloated balance sheet from decades of QE and near-zero interest rates will suffer same massive looses from marked-to-market securities as interest rates rise to combat global inflation.

With his VP Sarah Duterte by his side, will he address the economics numbers that are damning on Rodrigo Duterte. THE DEBACLE OF USD OR YUAN AS WORLD RESERVE CURRENCY Critics of USD do not understand as a world reserve currency, it was set up to fail as predicted by the Triffin Dilemma. Those that clamour for Yuan to replace the USD as world reserve currency do not understand they are pushing a child to run before it can walk, and the same fate as the USD awaits the CNY when it assumes the mantle of world reserve currency.
