He pointed out to his teacher who saw what appeared to be tears flowing from the Virgen de los Dolores.
This is the latest Marian miracle. The phenomenon has yet to be investigated by the Vatican. Meanwhile, the little town is getting lots of visits by believers, skeptics, and curious onlookers from all over.
El Chanal is a small town of 1,200. It is narco-infested with high homicide rate. Locals tend to interpret the miracle as the Holy Mother's sadness for the violence in the town. The ownsfolks' only wish is for the town to return to its earlier tranquil state.
