  1. You are unable to see the point.
First - A loss by Tharman is a huge message by We The People.
Second - Rome was not built in a day.

  2. GG is to dilute LHY's voteshare.

  3. Yes, there is some disquiet about GG. But what is your ground for suspicion? One can't harbor bad thoughts without any justification.

For me, the positive coverage of GG by state media made me think hmmmm?

  4. The people vote.
    Tharman wins, its PAP win
And its what the people wanted.
As social media seem to push for Tharman as PM.
(which is not decided by the peopel anyway )
So, Tharman as President is still ok (for the people and the PAP)

    The people vote
CG wins, its PAP win (still)
And its a message that people send to PAP
That Tharman is not desired as President.

No Rome was not built in a day.
But we only have about 2 bricks laid
( WP & PSP ) and these bricks can be knocked off.

President has zero effect on policies.
At best it can annoy.. but the "office" will not
allow any negative statements to be distributed without
    approval. Nobody is gonna know.

The real effect is General Elections.

  5. My only wish is that who ever, GG or Botak win the selection can declare that they will only receive $1/month salary as a token. They will save the gov million/year which can then be channel to help the less fortunate.
zz..guess this will only happen in my dream..zzzz

  6. @ Hogwashed

You are right of course. People are making noises because they are pissed.
When you are pissed you need to pee.
